A design can be linked with a work request in two different ways: as an attached design or an associated design. A design can be attached, detached, associated, or disassociated at any time until the work request is submitted for construction with a single attached design.

Designs are linked to work requests with the Attach and Associate commands. You can perform these tasks while working in either the My Work folder or the My Designs folder.
